Superintendent's Message

Dear United Local Community,

Welcome back! The entire Eagle family is excited to welcome our students back for another great year. We have been busy planning for great learning experiences for the students and updating some needed facility work. We hired some new staff and we also welcome back many great people who love working with your children.

We are proud to welcome back Wes Smith, our School Resource Officer. Officer Smith will be working with the staff to ensure student and staff safety and we look forward to having him for our entire school year. We would like to thank Sheriff Stone for his continued support of the United Local School District. We are truly partners in safety, and we are honored to work closely with the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office. We have also added a Mental Health Coordinator, Katie Hull, to our team. We look forward to her input as we look to expand services for all our students.

We began the year with staff examining our "vision" of United Local. We will be having community engagement meetings in the near future to gather student, parent, and community input for this vision and will spend the year turning that vision into an action plan that will guide us for the next five years. We look forward to your discussion and commentary.

I look forward to another exciting year in United Local. We are here to serve you so please don’t hesitate to call or email at any time.

Go Eagles!

Respectfully,
Lance Hostetler
Superintendent
